Do_you_carry_a_personal_malpractice_insurance_policy_why_or_why_not: Yes, Don’t feel hospital would support or back up individual Rns and also work in area, LDR, where lawsuits are commonplace.

Your_most_pressing_concerns_with_the_profession_and_healthcare: I am concerned about the major changes in health-care reform and re-design and how that affects Nurses and Patient care.I wonder why Nurses are not a cohesive professional group. I am tired of working short-staffed and am concerned about the major potential for Nursing errors leading to lawsuits when this happens. Concerned about Administrations decline in recognizing that Nursing is composed of specialties Their theory of Any nurse can do the job of another nurse... and the common phrase when nurses are pulled to another dept. Your just an extra pair of hands, it is down right insulting. We are professionals with professional and legal responsibilities and OUR licenses are on the line and finally I disagree with Administration forcing Cross-orientation to other areas on Nurses..stating it makes us more marketable ....I say it makes Nursing care unsafe. D
