Rex Special Care Nursery, Rex Healthcare:"Each baby born at Rex receives special attention and care by the Rex Family Birth Center staff. But on occasion, newborns need some extra-special attention that our Special Care Nursery can provide. Rex Special Care Nursery is a certified Level II nursery that provides around-the-clock care for infants. Neonatology services are available in the Rex Family Birth Center 24 hours a day, too. Rex Special Care Nursery staff recognize the important relationship that parents and families play in ensuing the health and well-being of infants. That's why they utilize Kangaroo Care, the skin-to-skin holding of pre-term and high-risk infants. Kangaroo Care involves placing a diaper-clad, but otherwise unclothed infant, upright on the bare chest of the caregiver, usually mom or dad. Kangaroo Care has shown to be a valuable asset to the Rex Special Care Nursery, providing a greater benefit to mom, dad and baby."

Nurses' Station:"The idea for the Nurses' Station Catalog was conceived in 1989. After searching the marketplace in response to customer inquiries, it became obvious that there were no catalogs of this type serving the nursing profession. To be sure, there were several catalogs offering nurse's uniforms and a smattering of professional items. But there weren't any catalogs at the time offering a range of gifts, clothing, professional items, name badges, shoes and scrubs for nurses. It took two years of hard work to gather samples and put a together a catalog of the most unique and high-quality items for nurses. As a result, the first Nurses' Station Catalog was published in the Spring of 1991."
